Steel fixing is s specialized service when accompanied by formwork and concreting as only few companies can complete all three to such high standards. Steel fixing is vital for setout in a project, because if it isn’t completed to the highest of standards the rest of the project generally follows suit or makes things harder.

Although steel fixing is a component in every project, some seem to be harder and more complex than others (i.e. high-rise building, circular construction i.e. water tanks, dams etc), whereas some projects have a more simple task of completing this task (i.e. rectangular concrete floors).

The Lenthall’s Dam Project (Raising of the Dam Walls)

Wide Bay Water was given the task of appointing the correct Subcontractors to assist them in the raising of the dam walls for Lenthall’s Dam, thus making Groundfloor a perfect candidate for these works with vast experience in the areas of steel fixing, concrete and formwork.

As you can see by the pictures above the dam walls are curved, therefore making the project a little more complicated and more attractive to Groundfloor QLD. The work was appealing for the fact we have never completed anything of that scale before in terms of complication and size. The job was highly successful with compliments all round from both engineers and supervisors.
